I know oils can feel a LOT overwhelming at first. Don't stress about remembering all of this. Ask all the questions, anytime. Even if you swear it's already been covered.

LAVENDER - "the Swiss Army knife of essential oils."

+ We use it for enjoying the springtime outdoors. There's that oily lingo again, trying to be suuuper careful not to make any "claims" ... try reading between the lines = great for allergies!

+ Great for relaxation = sleep. Try making a sleepy cream

+ Dry/chapped/irritated skin

+ Use generously if burned

+ Make my favorite sleepy spray! 2oz spray bottle + 15 drops each of Lavender and Vetiver.... vetiver is super thick, try sticking it in your bra for a few minutes before trying to get it out to warm it up.

+ Add 1-2 drops into your mascara for a boost in growth! For an extra kick, add cedarwood too! 

+ Use lavender along with moisturizer after a day in the sun or when experiencing a sunburn.

+ For kiddos: diffuse for a calm environment, or for naps & bedtime.

+ Calming Lavender play dough 
2 tsp cream of tartar, 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup salt, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 cup water, I put 3 drops of lavender in the play dough (You mix the ingredients in a saucepan until the form together then let cool and add your oil :) 

+ For Mom & Dad: When the pollen count is too high (read allergy season), add 3 drops of lavender, lemon, and peppermint to the diffuser, or pop in a capsule and enjoy the outdoors again!

+ For pets: Calming Mist: 1 oz glass spray bottle + 10 drops lavender, 5 drops magnesium oils, fill with water. Shake and spritz on favorite blanket or bed.

FRANKINCENSE  -when in doubt, Frank

+ Immune system champ

+ Eases occasional and minor tension/anxiety

+ Promotes feelings of calmness and balance

+ Relieves the pain of a scorpion sting (take kids to the ER or anti-vac)

+ Apply to cuts (that are mostly healed) and scars to reduce the appearance.

+ Apply to itchy skin to soothe

  • Health Tip: When I start to feel like I may be coming down with something, I drop 1 drop under my tongue It tastes a bit like perfume...but I am always SO GLAD I did it the next day

  • Beauty Tip: It helps reduce fine lines. You can apply it neat (no carrier oil) under your moisturizer, or add it to a DIY serum!

+ For kiddos: Roll diluted on the back of the neck when hyper, add to immunity roller during winter months, diffuse while studying.

+ For pets: Hotspots, 5ml dropper bottle, 6 drops each lavender & frankincense, top with a carrier oil. apply for about a week once a day until it clears up. (this is for a larger dog, please dilute according to the weight chart)

PEPPERMINT

+ Helps me in the allergy trio: Lavender, Lemon, & Peppermint. Diffused: 3 drops of each, capsule: 3 drops of each, 10ml roller bottle 10 drops of each + carrier oil.

+ Soothes occasional head discomfort, rubbed on back of neck, or temples (avoid eyes, use a milk bath if you accidental touch), apply a drop neat on your thumb then press it to the roof of your mouth

+ Supports digestive system, too much to eat? 1 drop of peppermint in your water.

+ Promotes proper nasal and respiratory function in kiddos 6+ yrs old.

+ For Pregnant mamas: avoid use in the 3rd trimester as it can cause the baby to flip.

+ For Nursing mama: avoid internal use while nursing as it may reduce your milk.

+ For kiddos: This one is tricky, as it's not advised for kids under 6 years old. Other Mama's I know and trust and I totally use this around their kids. I personally use it around my 2-year-old, diffused in an open area and haven't had an issue. It's also in SniffleEase (kids line) and I use that liberally.

For Pets: apply to a diffuser charm and add it to your pup's collar before going into obedience school or learning new tricks, peppermint calms the mind and lessens the fear of the unknown.

Lemon - the happy oil!

+ Maintains energy levels, add a drop or 2 to your afternoon water.

+ Helps with oily skin

+ Works wonders on calluses

+ Cellulite!

+ Detoxing your body

+ Removes stickers in a flash #byegoogone

+ Add to dishwasher or cleaning spray (in a glass bottle) for hard water spots

+ Beauty tip: wonderful in your nightly moisturizer for skin brightening.

+ For Kiddos: add to lavender when the pollen count is high in a roller bottle.

* Avoid direct sunlight and UV rays after application to skin.
