Thieves Tea 3 ways

Updated: Oct 8, 2019

There is nothing I've found to be more soothing from the sniffles, a cold, or sore through than Thieves Tea.

Thieves Tea - the traditional way

Typically Thieves Tea is 1 drop each of Thieves Vitality and Lemon Vitality mixed with your desired amount of organic, raw, local honey with warm water. You could stop there, it's spicy, soothing, and so dang good.

Thieves Tea - with your favorite tea

For this option you're going to make your favorite tea and once it's warm, not hot, mix in the traditional thieves tea protocol. I especially love roman chamomile tea at night with this!

Thieves Tea - Cider

This is my new favorite way, I have beautiful plans of making this on the regular all winter long. Take Thieves tea and add 2 oz of Ningxia Red. You get all of the amazing happiness of thieves and the epicness (it's a word now) of NingXia Red that I can't live without.

Helpful tips:

Drink every two hours when you start to feel a tickle in your throat, if you accidentally get two drops in your tea consider diluting between 2 mugs as this can be too spicy on your lips.

This mixture is recommended for adults only, to share with a kiddo pour 1/4 of the mixture into a new mug and top with warm milk or water to dilute it.

Adding your mixture of oils to honey helps the oils mix into the water, vs float solely on top. Adding your mixture to warm vs hot water helps not reduce the efficacy of the essential oils.

Thieves blend contains: Clove, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Lemon and Cinnamon Bark Essential Oils.

For recipes like this and more that I trust I recommend the recourse Oils + Glass

, it's become a household favorite.
